What do you think of when you hear Easter Seals North Georgia? A seal – the animal – with Easter bunny ears on it?

As cute as that sounds, that does not describe all the great services and programs we offer families in North Georgia. Easter Seals began by assisting families whose children were suffering from polio. Many years later, we’ve expanded that support to families whose children have disabilities or other special needs.

Our Mission: We provide high-quality services to ensure that all children with disabilities or other special needs and their families have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in their communities.

What does all that mean?

  • It means we have 11 child development centers that prepare ALL children, no matter their abilities, for school.
  • It means we have early intervention services for children who may have development delays.
  • It means we are the leading expert on child development.

We’re excited to launch this blog. We know that you expect great things from us. And, we’d love to hear your thoughts on what we are doing in our community.

Together, we will achieve our vision of getting every child to start school healthy and ready to learn.

Stay tuned for more…
